Link to Care is a care consultancy run by Ali. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this website or contact us, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
The data controller is Link to Care. You can reach us at allison@linktocare.co.uk.
What we collect and why
- Contact form: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and your message. We use these to reply to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to provide our services. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
- Bookings: if you book a consultation, the booking runs through Microsoft Bookings, which collects the details you enter there under Microsoft's own privacy terms.
- Website analytics: we use Vercel Web Analytics, which records page views without cookies and without identifying you personally.
Because our work often involves the care of a family member, you may choose to share health or care details with us. We treat this as special category data, use it only to give you the support you have asked for, and rely on your explicit consent to do so. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We share it only with services that help us run the business (our email provider Resend and our hosting provider Vercel) and, where you ask us to, with care providers, local authorities or other professionals involved in your family member's care.
How long we keep it
Enquiry emails are kept for up to 12 months after our last contact. Client records are kept for 6 years after our work together ends, in line with professional record keeping guidance, then securely deleted.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct or delete it
- object to or restrict how we use it
- withdraw consent where we rely on it
- complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk

This website does not set tracking or advertising cookies. Microsoft Bookings may set its own cookies when you open the booking page.
